Servants, Inc.

Servants, Inc. is a faith based nonprofit ministry founded on May 22, 2000, with a mission to serve others in the name of Christ. Our focused ministry area is critical home repair for low income homeowners, especially older adults, people with disabilities, veterans, and families facing unsafe housing conditions. Rooted in faith and driven by compassion, Servants partners with communities to provide critical home repairs that preserve dignity, promote stability, health and safety, and empower individuals and families in need.

In 2007, Servants began its Critical Home Repair Program after seeing the growing need among homeowners who could not afford necessary repairs to remain safely in their homes. Since then, Servants has completed repairs on almost 1,900 homes, helping homeowners address urgent needs such as unsafe stairs, leaking roofs, damaged flooring, accessibility barriers, and fall hazards. Through staff leadership, volunteer teams, church partners, community supporters, and local funders, Servants brings practical help and hope to neighbors who might otherwise have nowhere to turn.

Servants is a member of the National Aging in Place Council, and our leadership has been actively involved with the Coalition for Home Repair and other regional networks focused on housing preservation, aging in place, and community development. As our ministry continues to grow, we remain committed to helping homeowners experience the love of Christ through safe, healthy, and affordable homes.

Here’s how your gift might help:

• $25 can provide basic safety supplies for a volunteer serving on a home repair project.
• $50 can help provide grab bars or other small accessibility materials to reduce fall risks for an older adult.
• $100 can help repair unsafe steps, railings, flooring, or other hazards that threaten a homeowner’s safety.
• $250 can help purchase materials for a critical repair project that restores dignity and stability for a neighbor in need.
• $500 can help provide accessibility improvements such as safe entry repairs, flooring repairs, or bathroom safety modifications.
• $1,000 can help make a home safer and healthier through critical repairs that allow an older adult or family to remain in the home they love.
• $5,000 can help complete an average critical home repair project for a low income homeowner.
