Cause Profile:

Founded in 2002, ZOE International is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing and combating human trafficking through prevention, rescue, restoration, and advocacy initiatives. ZOE currently operates programs in Thailand, Japan, Mexico, Australia, and the United States, including teams in Los Angeles and Southeast Pennsylvania. Across each region, ZOE works collaboratively with national and local governments, law enforcement agencies, and international and community-based nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) to identify and support vulnerable individuals and survivors of trafficking.

Launched in 2019, ZOE International’s East Coast team serves Southeast Pennsylvania through direct advocacy, prevention education, and collaborative anti-trafficking efforts. The team works closely with law enforcement to support trafficked women and vulnerable children by providing advocacy, crisis response, and restorative care services. ZOE East Coast also serves as the coordinating agency for both the Lancaster County and Berks County Human Trafficking Task Forces.

Through strong partnerships with local government agencies, schools, healthcare providers, faith communities, nonprofits, and private-sector organizations, ZOE East Coast takes a comprehensive and collaborative approach to combating human trafficking. These partnerships strengthen community awareness, improve identification of at-risk individuals, and create a coordinated response network that helps provide meaningful intervention, support, and hope for survivors and vulnerable populations.
