Cause Profile:

REAL Life Community Services connects families in Northern Lancaster County to Hope through various community-focused programs.

We serve individuals and families throughout the Cocalico area and beyond by meeting practical needs, building meaningful relationships, and creating pathways toward long-term stability.

From early childhood support to senior connection, from food programs to housing assistance — everything we do is centered on strengthening families and uplifting our community.

Our Mission
We do everything possible to connect the community to Hope through partnerships, collaborations, and building relationships. We believe that ‘Hope’ is found in Jesus Christ.

Here’s how your gift might help:

  • $10 provides a family with essentials like milk and eggs—helping put fresh, nourishing food on the table for days when it matters most.
  • $25 covers a full week of snacks for our Young at Heart group, creating a welcoming space where seniors can gather, connect, and feel cared for.
  • $50 provides a gas card for a neighbor in need—helping them get to work, keep their job, and maintain stability for themselves and their family.
  • $100 gives someone a safe place to sleep for the night in a hotel—off the streets and protected from harsh and unpredictable weather.
  • $250 helps stock our shelves with essential groceries, supporting multiple families with food during a difficult week.
  • $500 keeps the lights on for a family facing financial hardship—preventing shutoffs and ensuring a safe, stable home environment.
  • $1,000 sponsors a full semester of our Momentum program—providing 10–15 middle and high school students with weekly meals, mentorship, and life-giving experiences like ziplining at Refreshing Mountain.
  • $2,500 helps prevent eviction by assisting families with rent—keeping them in their homes and avoiding the trauma of displacement.
  • $5,000 expands our food outreach efforts—supplementing food bank resources to serve over 300 individuals and families with consistent, nutritious meals, moving them toward lasting food security.
