RAISE28 Youth Services

RAISE28 is a Christian Youth Center in Mount Joy, PA. Our mission is to reach local youth with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. We provide afterschool and summertime programs for students from kindergarten to 12th grade. Our programs include academic assistance, social support and spiritual development. Most importantly, we focus on teaching students about the God that is in the Bible.

A group from several churches in Mount Joy founded our youth center on July 16th, 1982. Our original name was Rainbow’s End Youth Services. We changed our name to RAISE28 on July 24th, 2024. We chose the word, RAISE for a few reasons: first, because it is phonetically spoken the same as the acronym, REYS, which stood for Rainbow’s End Youth Services. We also chose the word, RAISE, because it points to our faith, as Jesus was ‘raised” from the dead; and finally, we chose the word, RAISE, because it points to our mission, to “raise” up the next generation of youth, so that they will flourish by trusting in Jesus as their Lord and savior. We chose the number 28 in reference to Matthew 28, verses 19 and 20, which talks about the going and the making of disciples. Our mission statement, to reach local youth with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ, really alligns well with these verses from Matthew 28.
