Cause Profile:

Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community (QPRC) is a Christian retirement community dedicated to serving older adults through compassionate, faith-centered care. Our focused ministry is to support residents in every stage of retirement by addressing their spiritual, physical, emotional, and social needs through high-quality facilities, services, and personalized care. All that we do is grounded in Biblical principles and guided by a desire to honor our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Founded in 1948, QPRC was established with the vision of creating a warm, gracious, and secure environment where older adults could thrive while continuing to grow spiritually. Over the years, our community has remained steadfast in its commitment to Christ-centered living, providing a place where residents are valued, supported, and encouraged to live with purpose.

Our vision is to be a premier Christian retirement community, recognized for attractive facilities, exceptional God-honoring care, and a nurturing atmosphere rooted in faith. We are committed to the ongoing development of our resources, staff, and personal interactions to ensure that every aspect of community life reflects Christ’s love and honors Him.

Through faithful stewardship, compassionate care, and a strong spiritual foundation, QPRC continues its ministry of serving residents and glorifying God in all we do.

Here’s how your gift might help:

The Honored Servant Fund
Pastors, Missionaries, and Educators in Christian schools are the primary recipients of this fund. Having served the Lord throughout their lives, many have not accumulated the riches of the world. This fund provides the needed support for them to come to the Community, making up any shortfall in their entrance fee. Your gift makes it possible for them to live with respect and
dignity. Your gift enables them to add to the spiritual fabric of the  Community. Your gift makes it happen.

The Kinsman Fund
A number of your brothers and sisters in the Lord need your help. Many have served the Lord throughout their lives and have not accumulated the riches of the world. As residents progress through the continuum of care, the costs of providing that care escalate, often outpacing residents’ ability to pay. This fund is designed to bridge the gap, to allow residents to remain in the Community, to receive the care they need but can no longer afford. Your gift quietly and appropriately releases them from the fear of failing financial strength with grace and dignity. Your gift makes it happen.

The Capital Fund
One of our founding purposes 75+ years ago was “to erect and maintain facilities for the care of the aged….” As God increases our vision of service, as He leads new residents to the Community, expansion becomes necessary. Your gift, designated or general, provides the needed financial strength to renovate, build and maintain the Community’s facilities. What was true 75 years ago remains true today. Your gifts make it happen.

The Memorial Fund
God purposely puts individuals in our lives to shape, grow, mentor, care for, and love us. He has gifted each of us to be able to respond in an appropriate way, to memorialize the contribution they have made in our lives. Whether family member, friend, pastor, or care-giver, your gift will continue the work of the Community. This fund allows you to tailor the gift that is fitting of a
particular individual’s impact on your life. Major gifts can be used to name buildings, areas, rooms, gardens and programs. Your gift makes it happen.
“In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean’? tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.” Joshua 4:6-7(NIV)

The Middleton Scholarship Endowment Fund
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Middleton have donated funds to provide educational opportunities for employees of Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. This money was donated in honor of Delores Hill Middleton.
The purpose of the Delores Hill Middleton Nursing Scholarship Fund is to provide funding, through scholarships, for nursing education and is open to all Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community employees who meet the eligibility requirements. Recipients are selected on the basis of leadership skills, facility personnel needs, length of service and application.

The Employee Appreciation Fund
The Employee Appreciation Fund was established to provide individuals with the opportunity to show appreciation to the many employees who serve the residents of Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Residents who want to express their thanks to the employees of QPRC are encouraged to
make a donation to The Employee Appreciation Fund. It was established to provide individuals with the opportunity to show their appreciation to the many employees who serve the residents of Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Donations to this fund are distributed to employees annually.
