ABOUT HOME ON FERDINAND:

Home on Ferdinand is a 6–12 month transitional housing program in Manheim for women, with or without children, who are facing homelessness. But it is about so much more than providing a place to stay.

Women come to Home on Ferdinand looking for hope, stability, and the opportunity for a new life. Here, they find a safe home, individualized support, practical resources, and people who walk alongside them as they work toward permanent housing and greater independence.

Our goal is not simply to meet an immediate need, but to help each woman build a strong foundation for what’s next.

WHAT HAPPENS AT HOME ON FERDINAND

  • A safe home: a furnished room for a woman, or a mother and her children
  • A plan forward: individualized case management and coaching as each woman sets goals, builds financial stability, and prepares for permanent housing
  • Life skills and faith: counseling and classes in wellness, financial literacy, and nutrition, rooted in the love of Jesus Christ

Here’s how your gift can help:

  • $25 helps stock the home with cleaning supplies, toiletries, and household essentials
  • $100 helps provide a week of groceries and basic needs for a resident
  • $600 helps keep Home on Ferdinand running for one full day
  • $700 sponsors one woman’s room for a month
  • $2,100 sponsors a family’s room for a month

OUR STORY
Manheim Community Life Group began through local Mennonite churches and grew to include churches across the community, united by a desire to be the hands and feet of Christ through practical support. After MCLG became a 501(c)(3) in 2020, one need continued to rise to the surface: housing. God provided a property, volunteers transformed it, and Home on Ferdinand opened in November 2021. Today, your support helps women and children facing homelessness find safety, stability, and the opportunity for a new life.
