At Instruments of Christ Haiti (IOCH), our primary mission has been to support Christian education in Haiti by helping provide salaries for dedicated Haitian teachers. Through these partnerships, thousands of children receive a consistent and dependable education rooted in the love of Jesus Christ.
But today, we are facing an increasingly urgent need.
While supporting teachers and Christian education remains at the heart of our ministry, we are placing special emphasis during this year’s Faithful Give on expanding our rice program to help feed children attending our partner schools.
For many children in Haiti, the meal they receive at school may be the only predictable meal of their day.
IOCH currently distributes approximately 10,000 pounds of rice monthly through our school lunch program. Yet the need is far greater than what we can currently provide.
Providing rice does more than satisfy hunger. It encourages children to attend school, helps them concentrate in the classroom, and relieves some of the financial burden on their families.
And we have seen real, first-hand change happen when communities work together.
IOCH provides the rice, while Haitian parents and local communities contribute beans, oil, and the time and labor needed to prepare meals. This partnership helps build local ownership, dignity, and long-term sustainability.
Through God’s provision and the generosity of our supporters, IOCH has helped strengthen Christian education across northern Haiti.
Our ministry continues to grow and currently supports:
50 Christian schools
612 dedicated Haitian teachers
8,000+ children
550,000+ meals provided
With your support, we can purchase and distribute more rice, strengthen our school lunch program, and help ensure that growling stomachs don’t stand in the way of a child’s education.
Every gift, large or small, helps us move toward our goal.
100% of donations go directly to Haiti to support the work of the ministry.
