Cause Profile:

Faith Friendship Ministries (FFM) is a Christian nonprofit ministry that has been serving Lancaster County since 2002, providing safe, affordable housing and compassionate support to low-income adults living with serious mental illness, disabilities, and other significant life challenges who cannot safely live alone.

At the heart of our ministry is a simple but powerful belief: every person is created in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and love. Many of the individuals we serve have experienced not only serious mental illness or financial hardship, but also homelessness, isolation, broken relationships, abuse, repeated psychiatric hospitalizations and the loss of a meaningful support system. Faith Friendship Ministries exists to provide more than a place to live—we strive to create a place of stability, belonging, and family. A Home.

Our primary ministry is Faith Friendship Villa in Mountville, a personal care home providing 24-hour housing and support for more than 68 adults supported by 27 fulltime staff and dozens of volunteers. Residents receive nutritious meals, medication management, transportation, recreation and spiritual activities, assistance with daily living, opportunities for social connection, and individualized support in a safe and caring environment. For individuals who may have very limited financial resources or few people to turn to, these services can make the difference between instability and having a true place to call home.

Over more than two decades, Faith Friendship Ministries has continued to respond to the changing and increasingly complex needs of the people we serve while remaining grounded in our Christian foundation. Our name reflects what we seek to offer every day: faith that recognizes the God-given value of every person, friendship that overcomes isolation, and a community where people know they belong.

Our story is ultimately about creating a home for people who are too often overlooked—as our Lord commands us in walking alongside them with compassion, preserving their dignity, and reminding them through both words and actions that their lives have value and purpose.

For many of the individuals who call Faith Friendship Villa home, the funding available for their care does not cover the true cost of providing the safe housing and 24-hour support they need. On average, Faith Friendship Ministries faces a funding gap of approximately $50 per resident, per day.

Here’s how your gift can help close that gap:

  • $50 helps close the funding gap for one resident for one day.
  • $150 helps close the gap for one resident for three days.
  • $350 helps provide one week of care beyond what a resident’s limited income covers.
  • $1,500 helps close the funding gap for one resident for an entire month.
  • $4,550 helps close the daily funding gap for all 91 residents for one day.
  • $18,250 helps close the funding gap for one resident for an entire year.

Behind every number is a person. Your gift helps ensure that limited income does not determine whether someone has a safe place to live, nutritious meals, medication assistance, compassionate support, and—perhaps most importantly—a place where they belong. Any gift makes a difference. Thank you!
