Who We Are
Conestoga Valley SEEDS is a community-rooted nonprofit working to cultivate a healthy, thriving Conestoga Valley. Launched from the heart of one of our Conestoga Valley social workers, Katie Reiff, we were incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 2022. SEEDS grew out of a simple conviction: neighbors flourish when they’re connected to the resources, relationships, and opportunities they need. We serve families from many backgrounds, and with barriers in the areas of Housing, Education, and/or Health.
What We Do
SEEDS connects our community to support in three areas: housing, education, and health. Our free Adult ESL classes help neighbors build language skills and confidence, and our Family Game Nights turn classmates into community. Our Household Goods Room helps families, who are in the process of moving from hotels into stable housing, set up a home with dignity. We’re also working with local partners to develop affordable housing right here in our community. Through all of this, we walk alongside people as they navigate the systems and services that can feel hard to reach.
Why We Do It
The word SEEDS spells out our Core Values: Selfless Love, Empowerment, Equity, Deliberate Partnership, and Stewardship. Every individual deserves a stable home, the chance to learn and grow, and access to good health. We believe walking alongside our neighbors, with the example of Jesus and His selfless love, is a joy and a privilege. These things shouldn’t depend on what language you speak or what other barriers you might be facing. Too often, the barriers are practical ones: a form no one explained, a resource no one mentioned, a neighbor no one introduced. SEEDS exists to break down those barriers, one relationship at a time. When you give to SEEDS, you’re planting something that grows: stronger families, deeper connections, and a Conestoga Valley where everyone has room to thrive.
