At Camp Conquest, we believe a week of summer camp is one of the most effective tools for evangelism and discipleship available to the church today. By engaging adult volunteers and staff in intergenerational ministry with children and teens, camp provides a setting where the next generation can grow through anxiety and social pressures to rise up as leaders and contributors who bring peace to our culture.
Although camp is open to anyone in our community, we are closely associated with the Charis Fellowship of Churches and remain committed to our deeply held religious convictions.
Camp Conquest began in 1959, when one man purchased a farm to serve troubled boys and another was called to lead programs for children and teens in the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. In 1966, these two ventures merged, and by 1970, programs began on the current property. Today over 150 volunteers and 40 staff serve over 700 children and youth at camp each summer.
