Apologetics for the Church exists to equip ordinary Christians with the confidence and skill to effectively engage unbelievers with the gospel. Apologetics for the Church began in 2014, although the work of the ministry had begun years before when Dr. Mark Farnham began teaching practical apologetics in churches in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Over the course of one weekend, Christians can gain confidence that they can engage any unbeliever they meet with the gospel.

Apologetics for the Church began in the mind of Mark Farnham in 2006 while he was taking his first apologetics course at Westminster Theological. His understanding of how to engage unbelievers with the gospel was so transformed that he began simplifying the process in his notes during the lectures. By 2007 he gave his first seminar at a church in the Philadelphia suburbs, and word began to spread. In 2014 Apologetics for the Church was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) and tax-exempt status was obtained. By that time, Mark had presented seminars and conferences at dozens of churches. Since that time Apologetics for the Church has grown into a team of multiple staff, volunteers, and interns who contribute to dozens of events, videos, podcast episodes, publications, and more. Our goal remains the same: to equip ordinary Christians to effectively and confidently engage unbelievers with the gospel.
