JC and Lois Ebersole moved to Ghana with their family in 2003 where JC began teaching in a Bible college. The head of the college discovered that many students were unable afford traditional residential Bible college costs. Affordability is a major reason why 85-90% of pastors and church leaders around the world have little or no formal Biblical training. AABS was birthed in 2004 to take the school to the students, instead of the students going to cities to attend a Bible school. By having local Bible schools, owned and operated by churches or ministries, students are able to live at home, continue with their current work and ministry and receive Biblical training at a minimal and affordable cost.
“Making Biblical education available and affordable in local churches and communities around the world” is our mission statement. Our goal is to have affiliated Bible schools in all 55 countries of Africa and other countries around the world, wherever God calls us to. This is a big vision and we can’t do it alone. Will you partner with us in our vision of “Transformed communities by the power of God’s Word”?
AABS is a member of the Hopewell Network of Churches. We have resourced more than 900 Bible schools in 24 countries of Africa, and 8 countries in other parts of the world. Thousands of students have graduated from our affiliated schools and are serving in ministry, more thoroughly equipped to do the work that God has called them to!
