Accounting Beyond Borders

Our ministry began when our founder Courtney Weaver was on a sports mission trip during her freshman year of college in Panama with Rio Missions. As she washed dishes alongside one of the leaders of Rio Missions, Jess Cotton, it was shared that Rio Missions faced one overwhelming barrier. They were drowning in the bookkeeping, compliance, and administrative tasks necessary to keep Rio Missions afloat. Within this conversation, the seed was planted for Courtney as an accounting major that this is what God had called her and others to do! The Lord began revealing the vision for an organization that would enable mission leaders like Jess to multiply their impact by partnering with missional accountants to serve them in their work. In 2016, Courtney Weaver officially launched the nonprofit Accounting Beyond Border that would provide expert accounting services to mission organizations around the world at a fraction of the cost.

We envision a world where every Gospel-rooted mission organization has access to the highest standard of accounting support. Where every mission leader is able to dream and plan for greater impact because they have solid partners working with them to achieve their goals. And where real people all around the world experience the life-changing love of Jesus Christ through the hands and feet of His believers. For our team of Missionary Accountants, this means coming alongside Christian mission organizations to use our expertise in accounting to propel their ministries into growth and sustainability.

Accounting Beyond Borders fundraises approximately 85% of our budget so that our Ministry Partners pay only a fraction of the cost of what a typical CPA firm would charge. In this way, we provide accounting support and financial relief for our Ministry Partners.
