Creative Ministries, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing the hope and love of Christ through creative outreach, media, and community engagement. Founded in 1984 and based in Manheim, Pennsylvania, Creative Ministries has grown into a vibrant ministry with a focused mission: to connect people with each other and their Creator through the power of Christian music, media, and live events.
Creative Ministries’ primary area of ministry is Christian media and event outreach. This is most prominently expressed through WJTL 90.3 FM, a listener-supported, non-commercial Christian radio station that has served the Lancaster, Harrisburg, York, and Lebanon areas since 1984. WJTL was the region’s first all-Contemporary Christian radio station and continues to be a vital platform for sharing the Gospel, encouraging believers, and supporting local ministries and nonprofits through music, interviews, and community involvement.
WJTL’s motto, “Christ. Community. Music.,” encapsulates its vision to glorify God, encourage believers, and be a shining light to the world. The station is known for its deep community involvement, attending and promoting over 100 events annually, and providing a platform for local organizations and ministries to reach a broader audience
In 2011, Creative Ministries acquired a 28-acre property in Manheim, transforming it into The Junction Center—the broadcast home of WJTL and a premier community event and performing arts venue. The Junction Center features Landis Hall, a flexible, state-of-the-art facility opened in 2017, designed to host concerts, theatrical performances, banquets, seminars, and more.
The Junction Center embodies the ministry’s vision of joining people together—originally named for its location on Junction Road, it now serves as a literal and figurative point of connection for the community, providing high-quality, affordable space for ministry events and outreach.
The Kids Cookie Break Radio Program is a beloved Saturday morning broadcast on WJTL, airing live from 9 a.m. to noon, that offers a joyful, Christ-centered listening experience for children and families. Hosted by Lisa Landis, the show features uplifting music, engaging interviews, interactive games, and special theme parties, all designed to encourage kids in their faith and foster positive family connections.
Expanding beyond the airwaves, Kids Cookie Break Fest is an annual community celebration held at The Junction Center, WJTL’s event venue in Manheim. The free festival brings the radio program to life with live performances from favorite family entertainers, interactive activities like bounce houses, wagon rides, art-making, and carnival games, as well as opportunities for families to gather, play, and grow together in a safe, welcoming environment.
Both the Kids Cookie Break Radio Program and Kids Cookie Break Fest embody the mission of Creative Ministries and WJTL by creating spaces—on-air and in-person—where children and families can experience the love of Christ, build community, and enjoy wholesome fun. Through these initiatives, Creative Ministries continues its commitment to sharing the Gospel, encouraging believers of all ages, and strengthening the bonds of faith within the community
WJTL/Creative Ministries/The Junction Center is governed by a dedicated board of directors that meets regularly to provide oversight, strategic direction, and accountability for the ministry’s mission and operations. The current board members are John Smucker (Chairman of the Board), Tim Landis (President Emeritus/Treasurer), Fred McNaughton (President), Brian Smith (Board Member), and Wendy Miller (Secretary). Their collective experience and commitment ensure that WJTL, Creative Ministries, and The Junction Center continue to serve the community with excellence and integrity.
