SWAN: Scaling Walls a Note at a Time

SWAN: Scaling Walls a Note at a Time was founded in 2011 to serve children impacted by parental incarceration in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Our focused ministry reaches a highly vulnerable population of children who often face trauma, instability, and isolation.

SWAN’s mission is to provide healing, growth, and opportunity through music instruction, mentoring relationships, and trauma-informed care. We offer year-round programming through our Rising Stars after-school program and Summer Music Camp, where students receive consistent instruction, social-emotional support, and access to on-site mental health counselors.

As a Christ-centered ministry, SWAN is rooted in the call of James 1:27 to care for children in need. Students participate in Bible classes where they memorize Scripture, learn the truth of the Gospel, and, within a single semester, clearly articulate the message of salvation through Jesus Christ, planting seeds of truth that can bear lasting fruit in their lives.

SWAN partners with the School District of Lancaster and local organizations to serve students directly within their communities, providing programming at no cost to families.
