Bible Visuals International exists to support Christians in evangelizing and discipling children by supplying quality teaching tools and relevant training to ministry partners worldwide.
Founded in 1959, BVI has been supplying children’s ministry teachers with affordable, accessible, and adaptable resources for over 65 years. What began as an offshoot of a local outreach ministry has since grown and expanded to a thriving resource ministry with a unique emphasis on international and cross-cultural children’s ministry. Our library of Bible lessons, stories, biographies, hymns, and more have been translated into over 70 languages and are currently used in over 90 countries by missionaries, national churches, and everyday Christians.
As part of our committment to serving the global church, BVI has ongoing partnerships and licensing agreements with missionaries and organizations in various regions around the world. These partnerships are part of the core of BVI’s values—our goal isn’t just to produce and distribute teaching resources, but also to be actively engaged with and providing support to the people using them. We currently supply resources to ministries reaching the Middle East, Myanmar, Guatemala, Cuba, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, and more! BVI staff members occasionally travel to these locations to provide training and other support for our partners. This year, BVI has made a return visit to Mongolia to help lead a conference intended to equip Mongolian families for meaningful family worship in the home, and we are preparing for a visit to our newest partners in Guatemala to support ongoing training efforts for Bible club teachers at the end of the month.
In addition to equipping teachers for discipling children, BVI is also passionate about equipping parents. The Bible is clear that discipleship should start in the home (Deuteronomy 6:7), but many parents don’t know where to start. Our Family Worship Series is a simple guide to modeling worship at home by reading straight from God’s Word together. Currently, we have five published volumes — Mark’s Gospel, Philippians, James, Ezra & Nehemiah, and an Advent study. These volumes have been translated into Spanish, Arabic, and even Mongolian, with additional translations in the works for our partners around the globe!
Whether we’re producing a new missionary story, leading teacher training sessions, visiting international partners, donating books to local ministries, or shipping out orders, our goal is always to “help children see Jesus!”
