The Way Recovery Houses

The Way Recovery Houses is a Non-Profit in Lancaster and York counties that provides halfway housing for those recovering from addiction. We take a unique approach by intentionally partnering with the local Church in order to provide each resident with a support system; Mentors, Discipleship, Resources, but most of all an inclusive, life-giving environment for our residents to integrate into.

The non-profit was originally founded in 2012 but started rather slowly. We have expanded over the last few years and currently have (7) properties across York, Washington Boro, Mountville, and Lancaster City with close to 50 current residents. We have two staff members managing our men’s and women’s houses as well as a part-time director. There have been many challenges over the years, but we have been very blessed and are in a position to start looking at where we can meet needs next.

Our ministry seeks to fund its own operations by having residents pay rent and take responsibility in their recovery process. However, we still depend on donors as we seek to add properties, eliminate our mortgage, and provide staffing for our residents and to coordinate efforts with local churches.
