Revelations of Freedom Ministries/Freedom Thrift

In 2011, local community members had a God-sized vision to champion freedom from addiction for men in Lancaster County, PA. Revelations of Freedom Ministries was born! After receiving its 501(c)3 status that year, the visionaries searched for an appropriate home for the residential program. However, they were met with difficulty, as many townships were cautious of establishing an addiction recovery program in their neighborhoods. After much perseverance, ROFM secured a residential home in 2012 to host the program and officially began offering services!

Within the first two years of the program, an incredible need was witnessed in the community, leading to a second home being purchased in 2014 to expand the program’s capacity to serve individuals. As the years passed, a building was needed that could provide all services on one campus and serve more individuals. ROFM purchased a three-story commercial building in 2018 that was renovated into a fully secured facility and offered the capacity to house up to 26 men in the recovery program, and an additional 23 men through the re-entry services.

In 2019, ROFM established and opened Freedom Thrift, a single-member LLC (disregarded entity), to partially support the growing operations of ROFM. To this day, ROFM and Freedom thrift remain operational in this facility, with the thrift store operating on the first floor, re-entry services and internships operating on the second floor, and the 10-month residential program operating on the third floor. In 2021, a second Freedom Thrift location was opened in Ronks, PA.
In its 13 years of operation, ROFM estimates that it has served over 168 men. Today, we continue to see a growing need. ROFM is already pushing the bounds of its newest facility and will soon need more space for its staff and students. Additionally, we are strategically expanding to accommodate the unique needs of our students. We now provide on-site life coaching and will be adding counseling services. ROFM is humbled to be of service to its community, promoting hope, help, and healing for its neighbors.
