North Star Initiative

Located in Lancaster County, North Star Initiative (NSI) offers restoration through The Harbor, a 24/7 restoration home and program for domestic sex trafficking survivors. North Star Initiative advocates for and supports survivors of sex trafficking by providing physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual development through a Christ-centered focus. In the Harbor, North Star Initiative provides a holistic program and safe space for women, ages 18-35, to rebuild their lives. The Harbor’s 12–15-month program focuses on whole-person needs from a trauma perspective. Because of Jen Sensenig’s vision to combat trafficking in our community through grassroots awareness and involvement, we were founded in 2010 then opened the Harbor safe home in 2017.
