Cause Profile:

Men of Iron is a men’s faith based non-profit based out of Manheim, PA. We are focused on changing a culture one man at a time. We do this be equipping men with the resources and mentorship to know God and know their purpose. We are focused on helping men grow and reach goals in their faith, families, friends, fitness, and finances.

In 2005, founder Bryan Zeamer attended a conference and found himself wrestling with these two questions after hearing a sermon entitled ‘Holy Discontent’ by Bill Hybels. He came home from that conference and with the help of his wife Heather, began building the foundation of an organization built around men realizing their full purpose. One year later, Men of Iron was launched at Victory Church. Bryan’s initial vision centered around three key focal points – accountability, balance, and spiritual growth. He felt confident that when men are given structure and face-to-face biblical mentorship, there is room for generational impact to happen. That first year saw twenty men paired as mentors and protégés and Men of Iron officially launched with its Strong27 Mentorship experience. By 2011, it was apparent that Bryan’s vision was founded in truth – more and more men were seeking the mentorships, small group resources, and retreat curriculum that Men of Iron offered. It became obvious MOI also needed a more intentional structure and Bryan was confident in who could be tasked with taking the lead. In November of that year, Garret Barbush assumed the role of Director, and became the first full-time employee on staff at Men of Iron. What followed was a time of tremendous growth as we began partnering with multiple churches and advocates. By 2014 we established a Board and received our 501 C3 status as a non-profit. By 2015 we had expanded beyond Pennsylvania into three additional states, establishing a presence in New Jersey, Florida, and Tennessee. With intentional growth and stewardship, Men of Iron continued to grow and 2024 finds us with a team of ten talented individuals committed to our mission. Men in forty-eight states experienced impact and we saw our first international impact numbers as well. Even with the growth and success, MOI remains committed to changing culture, one man at a time.
