Firm Foundations Academy (FFA) serves homeschool families by providing a homeschool-hybrid model of education. All of our families are registered as homeschoolers and we partner with the parents in educating their children. The students come to our building (New Joy Church – Ephrata) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Are fully paid faculty and staff provide in-school instruction on all the core subjects. We then provide our families an at home agenda and needed curriculum for the parents to homeschool at home. The vision and mission of FFA is to provide a Classical Christian education to homeschool families, with special attention given to children of different learning abilities. We want to meet the needs of all children and instill a biblical worldview in education and all of life.
FFA started in 2019 when Sarah Northup, the founder, had a vision to launch a homeschool-hybrid education for some friends and acquaintances that appreciated her love for education and students. She also wanted to be able to serve a community of students that had different learning struggles and include them in the education along with all students. Sarah started with 30 students and 7 teachers. The Lord provided for FFA through 2020 and the pandemic challenge. Currently, FFA has 107 students in the Core program with an additional 25 students in the brand new Core Plus (option Monday) program with 16 total faculty and staff. FFA is a member with SCRAWLS.
Here’s how your gift might help:
We do not have specific levels. However, as with all educational programs, our tuition cost does not account for 100% of our expenses. WE desire to provide a robust, Christian education while also serving our families and keeping costs down. Any donation given to FFA allows us to full in the gaps that tuition cannot cover, specifically with curriculum and competitive teacher salaries. In addition, we offer many individualized tutoring and pull out instruction, which requires extra curriculum and teachers. Any donation received also support families in being able to take advantage of these services at reduced costs.
