Engaging Disability With The Gospel

Engaging Disability With The Gospel coaches churches to disciple and enfold kids, teens, and adults with disabilities so that everyone can grow in Christ and thrive together.

We want to see people with disabilities and their families exercising their faith in Jesus Christ, using their gifts to serve the church, finding genuine fellowship in the body of Christ, and being part of all aspects of congregational life and ministry.

We believe every church has at least one person impacted by disability. We believe every church can disciple and enfold them, regardless of the church’s size, culture, context, and uniquenesses. We help churches start wherever they are with creative, sustainable, small next steps and encourage them through a long-term coaching relationship.

Engaging Disability began in 2007 as part of Mission to North America of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). We incorporated and received our own 501(c)(3) status in 2020 to facilitate growth and expansion. We still operate as the denominational disability ministry of the PCA, and we respond to the broader needs in the evangelical community as we are able.

We own and operate Simply the Gospel Media, our publishing company and online store, to distribute our original discipleship products that are adapted for the needs of people with disabilities. All proceeds from Simply the Gospel go back into the ministry to expand our resources and coaching.

We partner with other national and international disability ministry organizations and church agencies. Our staff members are missionaries, and all engage in deputized fundraising for the organization. All charitable contributions to Engaging Disability are tax-deductible.
