Cause Profile:

Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) was founded in 1937 by Jesse Overholtzer. CEF of Lancaster County was organized by a group of Christian businessman in 1944 with Katherine Hershey serving as the first Director. CEF offers after-school, Bible-based Good News Club programs to children in Kindergarten through 6th grades right in the public schools! JYC is available to middle school students and our Christian Youth In Action or CYIA program allows teens to train to be paid summer missionaries. Our desire is for every child in Lancaster County to hear the Gospel and have an opportunity to respond to the invitation to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, disciple them in the Word of God, and establish them in a local, Bible-believing church for Christian living.
