At Camp Conquest we believe that a week of summer camp is the most effective tool for evangelism and discipleship available to the church today. We believe that the intergenerational ministry of engaging volunteers and staff with children and teens allow this generation to grow through the anxiety and social pressures to rise up and become the leaders and contributors that bring peace to our culture.
While a camp experience at Camp Conquest is open to anyone in our community, we are strongly associate with the Charis Fellowship of Churches and as such maintain strongly held religious beliefs.
The camp began in 1959 as one man purchased farm to run programs for troubled boys, and another man was tasked with running programs for the children and teens of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. These two ventures merged together in 1966, and programs on the current property began in 1970.
