Manheim Christian School

Give to this cause October 19-21!

Cause Profile:

We are a Christ-centered private school located in Manheim, Pennsylvania serving students in grades PreK through 8. The mission of Manheim Christian School (MCS) is to provide a Christ-centered environment where students develop Biblical principles while receiving a quality education. In 1952, a group of concerned parents and church leaders in Manheim started a Christian school. Their primary objective was to pass on Biblical values to the next generation. Over 70 years later, we are still carrying and multiplying this mission! At MCS, we are committed to:

  • Standing on God’s Truth and pointing to Him in all we do
  • Providing students with the tools to have Kingdom impact
  • Instilling a passion for life-long learning
  • Celebrating each child’s uniqueness and God-given abilities
  • Developing an attitude of service, discipleship, and togetherness

MCS began as two one-room schoolhouses. In the early 1990s, we offered one classroom each for grades K-8. Today, God has paved the way for us to offer TWO classrooms for each of those grades, which allows for smaller student-to-teacher ratios and opens our doors to even more families who stand for Christian values and education! We just completed phase one of our building project which included 5 brand new classrooms, a kitchen expansion, a new septic and HVAC system, and a new elevator and other upgrades to meet ADA standards. Our vision for future phases includes doubling our current middle school requiring a second campus and following God’s lead for future growth. The executive team and board are actively discerning vision for future phases and pursuing leads for landand resources to make this vision a reality.

Parent Testimonials:

“We were met with a warm, intimate environment and an emphasis on Biblical teaching that sealed the deal for us. The more we met other families, we felt so “at home” being around like-minded people who shared the desire to be the main voice in their own children’s lives. Something we appreciate so much at MCS is the “homeschool-hybrid” feel it has. As a parent, you have the opportunity to be as involved with the school and your child’s classroom as you want to be. There are many opportunities and ways to get involved, even for grandparents, so we feel very involved in our children’s schooling.”  – Meagan & Caleb

“We drive 40 minutes to allow our children to attend MCS. The fact that our family lives in a different county then the school should speak volumes of how much we love MCS. It is a learning environment where academics and spiritual development are intertwined. It is an education I wish I would have been privileged to. When my children come home and tell me something about the Bible I had forgotten or not learned, it is reassuring me how we made the right decision of them having a Christian education in Manheim. The staff and teachers are making such a positive impact on so many of these students. We love MCS, and all the blessings it has given and continues to give to our family.”    – Kara

“We have prayed for God to place people in the lives of our children that would help us instill Godly character and a Biblical world view. MCS has been an answer to that prayer. We are so grateful for the emphasis on developing strong character as well as the high academic goals at MCS. Our kids have thrived learning in the caring, yet challenging, environment at MCS.”  – Josh & Anna
