Live 10:27 Ministries

Live 10:27 Ministries was founded in 2011. After serving at Lancaster Bible College for 31 years, most of those years as Chair of Intercultural Studies Department (Missions), we (my wife, Diane and I) did not feel the need to “retire”. Our oldest daughter suggested, “why don’t you start your own ministry and do what you love to do?” – So – Live 10:27 Ministries was born.

The name is based on Luke 10:27,28 – the first and second great commandments. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all you soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength, and the second is similar – love your neighbor as yourself.”

Love God and Love People – that is what Live 10:27 Ministries is all about. As we grow in our Love for and Love of God, we will see people as He sees people. We will grow in our burden for the lost and have a growing desire to communicate the Good News of the Gospel in words and actions

We exist to educate, inspire and motivate the world-wide body of Christ to Live Luke 10:27.
We seek to encourage “the Church” to love God and love people with an emphasis on encouraging involvement in cross-cultural service. A love for people flows out of a love for God.

We speak in Christian school chapels, church mission conferences, retreats (youth and adult) and organize and lead a short–term backpacking trip in Europe each summer.

Here’s how your gift might help:

• Since the Christian schools do not provide an honorarium for speaking in chapel, donations are needed to provide for travel expenses. We travel all over Pennsylvania and to schools in New Jersey and Delaware. $3.00 can provide a gallon of gas. Or a gift of $35 can fill up our gas tank.
• Our backpacking trip in Europe costs $3800 per person. A gift of $100 can help provide “scholarships” for students. A gift of $3800 can provide a gift of a life-changing adventure in Europe for a needy student.
• A gift of $50 can help provide books and tracts to give out on the Europe trip.
