Fairmount Homes is a Christ-centered Continuing Care Retirement Community serving older adults with compassionate care and dignity. Located on 72 scenic acres in rural West Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Fairmount was founded on February 19, 1968, by members of the Weaverland Conference of the Old Order Mennonite Church. We remain governed by a nine-member board from the Conference and continue our commitment to the founding vision of faith-based service.
Our ministry is focused on enriching the lives of older adults—whether they are independent, in need of personal care, or require skilled nursing or rehabilitation. We serve individuals from diverse backgrounds who seek a peaceful, supportive environment rooted in Christian values. Fairmount is home to those who cherish meaningful relationships, spiritual nurture and quality care in a tranquil country setting.
Fairmount offers a full continuum of care, including 114 licensed Health Care beds, 74 licensed Personal Care beds, 103 apartments, and 52 cottages across two adjoining campuses. All Skilled Nursing beds are certified for Medicare and Medicaid. Our team and volunteers emphasize the spiritual and emotional well-being of each resident, supported by active involvement from local churches and pastors.
As a nonprofit, church-related organization, Fairmount reflects its mission—“Founded on Christ’s love and Mennonite values, we strive to enrich the lives of those we serve”—through compassionate caregiving, responsible stewardship and Christ-centered community life.
We are proud to be affiliated with Everence, LeadingAgePA, MHS Association, LeadingAge, the Anabaptist Providers Group, EMU Lancaster, Northern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce, Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Discover Lancaster.
