Cornerstone Youth Center

Cause Profile:

Cornerstone is a non-profit youth center whose mission is to provide a fun and safe environment where youth can build healthy relationships, be introduced to the Gospel, and experience wholeness in life through Christ. In the Spring of 1998, Cornerstone Community Ministries began with a group of local pastors and business leaders who had a burden to reach the growing number of youths roaming the downtown area, many of whom had behavioral issues and little family stability. By September of that year, Cornerstone Cafe opened in the square, featuring a Friday night coffeehouse. Today, Cornerstone has grown from a coffeehouse into a full-service youth center that also includes an indoor skate park, rock wall, basketball court, music room, as well as a pool and ping pong tables, and other activities for the students to discover their hidden or underdeveloped talents!

Our programs are designed to provide our youth with the skills, resources, and support necessary to realize their God-given purpose, unlock their leadership potential, and become positive influencers in our community. We believe that we are not only training the future leaders of our community but also providing our students with the tools to develop greater levels of spiritual, emotional, and personal growth.

By investing in the potential of our youth, we aim to not only empower them as individuals, but also to create a ripple effect of positive change within our community. As these young leaders grow and flourish, they will become agents of positive transformation, inspire their peers and contribute to the betterment of their neighborhoods.
