Bible2School – Penn Manor

Cause Profile:

Bible2School Penn Manor began when local moms got together for coffee in the spring of 2021 to learn about Release Time- a national court ruling that allows children attending public school to receive religious education during the school day. From there, a mother decided to start classes for her children’s elementary school, and growth quickly started.

Bible2School Penn Manor was officially founded and became a 501(c)(3) in March of 2023. The mission is to teach the Bible to Penn Manor elementary students so they may hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and follow him faithfully.

Bible2School Penn Manor is a program that provides free elective Bible classes to elementary school children attending public school during the school day. The children walk or are bussed to a nearby church or partner location where trained volunteers engage the children in lively worship and Bible stories. Children and volunteers discuss how they can apply the Bible lessons in their lives and pray together. 2nd grade covers the Old Testament, 3rd grade goes through the New Testament, and 4th grade studies Discipleship. Children learn the true stories from the Bible and also hear the Gospel message. The program is a mix of fun activities: science experiments, object lessons, games, dramas, crafts, Bible reading, and storytelling. The children participate in large group teaching, small group interaction, and worship time.

During the 2024-2025 school year there were 19 weekly classes held across the district serving over 400 children from 7 Penn Manor Elementary schools. These schools include Eshleman, Central Manor, Conestoga, Hambright, Letort, Martic, and Pequea Elementary.
