At A Woman’s Concern, our mission is to provide an open door and inviting space to all women in need of resources related to pregnancy, parenting, and sexual health and to empower families with focused classes, dedicated support, and material assistance to uphold the value of every human life.
Woman’s Concern currently offers the following services:
We serve anyone in Lancaster County (and beyond) who is looking for education, practical help, and support, always at no cost to them, confidentially and without judgement. We are also known for doing all that we do with great love and compassion and for offering hope to those in our community. Each of our staff members acts as the hands and feet of Christ in every interaction and conversation with those who walk through our doors.
Our organization was founded in 1972 (as Birthright of Lancaster) by a dedicated group of volunteers who were passionate about helping women who found themselves unexpectedly pregnant. Over the years, our name and location have changed and the number of clients served, as well as the types of services offered, have continued to grow. In 2018, we moved into our current office which includes a dedicated medical suite, a baby boutique, and more!
